The Lancelin Ocean Classic
Whether you love to windsurf, kiteboard, paddle or simply watch, the Lancelin Ocean Classic is an event not to be missed. Hailed as one of the world’s leading watersport championships, and Australia’s longest running windsurfing event the Lancelin Ocean Classic brings together over 4,000 contestants from all over the world. Competitors range from beginners to seasoned pros, all competing for a prize pool of over $25,000 on one of Australia’s most picturesque coastlines.
The Lancelin Ocean Classic is a Guinness World Record holder for the longest windsurfing race, measuring 25kms from Ledge Point to Lancelin. The Event takes place between January 14th - 17th with competitors windsurfing, kitesurfng and for the first time, paddleboarding. The event wraps up with the brand new addition of Lobster brunch held on Sunday 17th.
Lancelin itself is a small fishing and tourist town, only an hour and a half’s drive from the W.A. capital Perth.
