Make Your Father’s Day Special!

This Sunday, make an effort to celebrate Father’s Day and do something memorable. There are lots of lunch specials on for Father's Day from restaurants around Perth to take Dad before or after any of the following activities!

Arrange for Dad to play a round of golf at the Cottesloe Sea View Golf club. This course is the third oldest in Western Australia! The course is well known for its playability and is enjoyed by golfers at every level. On the weekend, 9 holes is $30 and 18 holes is $40. There is also a Father’s Day lunch being held at the club should Dad get a bit peckish. It is a roast buffet lunch which the family will love!

If Dad is not so into golf, there is always tennis! The Cottesloe Tennis Club has twenty- three of Perth’s best grade courts right in the heart of Cottesloe- the clubhouse features views over Cottesloe Beach. We guarantee that you’ll make the perfect tennis partner out on the court.

Dad may love a picnic and a walk around Kings Park for his special day. There is the Kings Park Festival happening for the whole of September. This year’s theme is Floral Fantasy and it is a celebration of the enchanting flora of Western Australia. There are free guided walks, festivities, plant sale and larger ‘Adorable Florables’ characters walking around. There are plenty of cafes in Kings Park for a drink to refresh after exploring one of Perth's favourite spots.

What about fishing? There are plenty of spots around Perth where you can snap up some excellent fish and bond with Dad. Blackwall Reach is great for fishing in Perth and is at the mouth of the Swan River. You can fish from the rocks at any time of the day. Another suggestion is Rottnest Island. Fishing from the rocks, beach or boat is all highly successful. More often than not you just have to choose which ones to throw back as you should always only take what you plan to eat. This leads to another great way to spend time with Dad- cooking!

Other ideas which don’t need to be planned include a trip to Cottesloe to spend a day at the beach or head down to Fremantle Markets to grab some tasty treats. There is so much to do in Perth this Father’s Day!
