It is now officially winter and Perth is turning into a winter wonderland of festivities and events with ice rinks, snow and snow slides from June through to August. In Perth we don’t get snow, so this is a real treat for the young ones and the young at heart to experience a ‘really’ cold winter, whilst still enjoying our mild winters for the rest of the time. Australia will play host to North America's finest and most passionate ice hockey players, including representatives from the National Hockey League, when USA takes on Canada in the highly anticipated, 2015 Ice Hockey Classic.

The winter garden bring you the most enchanted winter experience to Fremantle from the 1 – 26 July 2015.
Winter Garden brings Western Australia an enchanting experience for the young and the young at heart. The idyllic surrounds of the Fremantle Esplanade Park will be transformed into a magical festival dedicated to the delights and traditional wonders of a white winter.
Attractions include the return of Australia’s biggest outdoor ice rink, falling snow, a mountainous pop-up slide, carnival rides, plus music and entertainment for all ages!

Perth's first outdoor inner city ice skating rink returns to the Perth Cultural Centre, transforming the urban jungle into a winter wonderland.
WinterLAND offers 45 minute sessions from 8am - 9pm during the winter school holidays from 2 - 19 July, 2015. There are 8am sessions catering for young ones and families through to late night sessions designed for the big kids at heart. The pop up home away from home, The Lodge, will return offering everything from coffee to mulled wine and other warming treats, including open fire pits.

This winter holidays, bring the kids to enjoy the novelty of sliding down an icy slope in the heart of Perth city.
The City of Perth's free event for July 2015 will have icier snow and twice the slides, more than doubling the capacity of last year's event to almost 25,000. Smaller kids can ride the 4m slide, while bigger kids (over 120cm tall) can enjoy a 12m slide. Suitable for ages 3 -12 years.
Free tickets must be secured online in advance. Accompanying adults need no ticket and are not permitted on the slides but can supervise children from the sidelines. To get your free tickets, register your top three preferred session dates and times via visitperthcity.com/snowslide.
