School Holidays April

The school holidays are coming up and Perth is a fantastic place for children and families to spend their free time. The April school holidays start from 09 and end 25 April 2016. During this time there are a lot of activities occurring to keep kids learning, active, entertained and busy though out Perth. Cottesloe Beach House Stays has plenty of family style houses available in April for the whole family to enjoy and explore Perth.

To get some ideas of what is happening Perth during April for the school holidays, here is a list of events or activities.

  • Visit the Western Australian Museum and participate in decorating your own gold neckpiece or assemble a fabulous Indonesian shadow puppet for $2 dollars. Bookings can be made for groups of 10 or more. Activities run from 10:30- 2:30pm. The Western Australian Museum is running these activities 09 – 24 April 2016.
  • The Brick Man Experience Lego Exhibition Under the Big Top at Elizabeth Quay - Get ready to immerse yourself in all things LEGO as Australia’s largest exhibition of LEGO works heads to Elizabeth Quay for 14 days! Brick Man Experience – The Complete Collection by Ryan McNaught exhibits sixty original works along with their own unique behind-the-scenes story, including original drawings and sketches.
  • Zoorassic  Park at Perth Zoo-  From Saturday 12 March to Sunday 15 May, see the dinosaurs at Perth Zoo. Explore Perth Zoo to discover these roaring, moving and incredible creatures from the past. Learn about their similarities to today’s animals and how we can prevent future extinctions. Free with Zoo admission.
  • Come on down to Circus WA for their School Holiday Workshops! This autumn, kids and teens from 5-17 years old can go and try out the circus for themselves. With activities like diablo, unicycling, acrobatic tumbling, trapeze, and hula hoop, there’s plenty of fun to be had, and new things to learn! Each workshop will run for 1.5 hours, and will be led by the talented trainers, who are all Circus performers themselves. Class numbers are limited to 24 and cost $29 per class.
  • Ice Age Live at Perth Arena from 22-24 April 2016 - The first show of its kind to combine exceptional ice skating, aerial arts, puppetry and film, Ice Age Live! Sid, Manni, Diego and of course Scrat will be appearing as life-sized 3.6-metre-tall figures in an awe-inspiring journey with a new story based on the first three films from one of the top-grossing international animated film franchises of all time.  
  • Xscape at the City April Holiday Carnivale- Holiday Carnivale is a unique, pop-up event combining the amazing offering of Xscape at the City with the all time excitement of a carnival fairground. There is just the one off payment for entry and an unlimited use of attractions such as dodgem cars, waterslides, kids show rides, live stage shows, roving performances and much more! The Carnivale runs 09-25 April 2016.
