Allison and Camilla have recently returned from the 2015 Western Australia China Travel Mission.
The Western Australia China Travel Mission, as hosted by Tourism WA, was held in Beijing from October 18-21. This conference was open to all Western Australian product suppliers. Cottesloe Beach House Stays was among many providers to attend including the Rottnest Express, Adams Coachlines and Caversham Wildlife Park.
The mission aimed to increase awareness of Western Australia as a holiday destination and enable Western Australian operators to establish and increase business opportunities with key trade partners in China. The mission intended to also provide an update on the latest travel trends and market situation in China and Hong Kong, further strengthen business relationships with key product and marketing managers in China and Hong Kong and generate media exposure for destination WA and China marketing initiatives. This was a fantastic opportunity to build relationships within the china market.
Highlights of 2015 mission included Western Australian industry round table discussions, one-on-one appointments with 45 key outbound tour agencies from China and Hong Kong, team building activities and networking functions.
Of course there was some sight-seeing and socialising done! Camilla and Allison were able to see the Great Wall of China and attending many dinners to help strengthen the relationships even more! They were able to experience much of the culture. The mission this year was considered a great success as the response was very positive and we look forward to welcoming many new visitors in the coming months!
