Winter in Perth... 

Winter is nearly upon us & although the cold weather doesn’t exactly excite us, what’s on in Perth, certainly will. The months June, July & August present cold & sometimes wet days but they also provide us with beautiful blue skyed days.   

We have included below a list of events, places to visit & food to eat to keep you entertained whilst you’re in Perth, WA this winter.

 

EVENTS

WA Day Festival
June

The WA Day festival is an occasion for all West Australians to come together to celebrate our people, lifestyle & culture with activities for everyone.

With a number of WA Day events taking place across the country between the 1st June – 4th June, from Albany to Elizabeth Quay, right through to Port Headland, nobody will be missing out on a fun filled June long weekend!

City of Perth Winter Arts Festival
June/July

The festival features exciting arts & cultural experiences, including spanning theatre, music, comedy, cabaret, dance, film, visual arts & much more.

Running throughout June & July, you will have plenty of time to check out the City of Perth Arts Festival.

Perth International Jazz Festival
November

 An effervescent & exciting Festival held in Perth & York not to be missed. The Perth International Jazz Festival is returning for one weekend only, Friday 9, Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 November 2018.

Presenting a selection of jazz performances in various locations across the city, the three-day festival includes ticketed and free community events. Showcasing local, national and international artists, this year’s festival offers something for everyone.

The Festival’s aim is to bring inspiring music by many talented musicians to Perth in an accessible & vibrant way.

PLACES TO VISIT

City of Perth Library
June, July & August 

Located on Hay Street in Perth City, the multi-story library is used by residents, City workers, students, tourists, visitors & shoppers.

The opening hours are below:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm 
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Sunday: 12pm (noon) to 4pm

We say, the library is the best place to relax out of the rain this Winter!

Luna Leederville

Located on the corner of Vincent & Oxford Street in Leederville, this Cinema is not your everyday movie theatre.  

They showcase everything from art-house & indie films to special events. Plus they sell the renowned choc tops. You can’t go wrong catching a flick at the Luna Cinemas this winter, hey?

Alfred’s Pizzeria

Located on Barrack Street in Perth, this American gangster themed Small bar has it all! Specialising in epic pizzas, cocktails & cognac, it’ll make you feel like you’re in Italy for a whole night.
